Fees & Funded Childcare

Understand your childcare support, our funded sessions and any additional costs.

Our sessions and charges

We are open 7:30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year, with full-day, morning and afternoon sessions. We offer up to 30 funded hours for eligible children from 9 months to 4 years.

Ask us for our current Childcare Offer & Charges. It sets out the sessions in which funded hours can be used and any charges for additional hours, meals and activities, so you can choose what suits your family.

Funded childcare in England

All 3 and 4 year olds

15 hours a week for 38 weeks a year (570 hours), starting from the term after the child’s third birthday, until they start reception or reach compulsory school age.

Eligible working families

Up to 30 hours a week for 38 weeks a year (1,140 hours), from the term after a child turns 9 months until they start reception or reach compulsory school age, subject to eligibility. For 3 and 4 year olds, this includes the universal 15 hours.

Early Learning for 2 year olds

Eligible children can receive 15 hours a week for 38 weeks a year from the term after they turn 2. Eligibility depends on family circumstances or the child’s needs and care history.

Funding is an annual entitlement. Where hours are stretched across more weeks, fewer hours are available each week; stretching does not increase the annual total.

For working-family funding, apply before the relevant term’s deadline and reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months. Share your code with the nursery so we can check it and agree your start date and sessions.

What is free and what may cost extra?

Funded entitlement hours must be available free of charge. You do not have to buy additional hours, meals, consumables or optional activities as a condition of taking a funded place. Charges for extras must be agreed with you.

Our Childcare Offer & Charges lists any additional hours, meals and optional extras. Ask us for a personalised breakdown before you agree your child’s sessions.

Optional activities are a parental choice. Children who do not take part must continue to receive care and learning that meets the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Please discuss the arrangements and reasonable alternatives with the nursery before choosing extras.

Other help with childcare costs

You may be able to get help through Tax-Free Childcare or Universal Credit childcare support. Eligibility rules apply, and the two schemes cannot be used at the same time. Ask us how to use them with your place.
